Shelby Carol Cude was born in Palm Springs, California, but her photography didn't start to flurish until she moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2009 as a mere junior in high school. Photographing for Christ Presbyterian Academy's Yearbook, she learned the basics of photojounalism as well as posed portaiture and sport photography. In 2009, her yearbook placed 4th in the Nation, and then during her senior year, placed 7th in the Nation. Shelby went on to be a double major in Psychology and Marketing at Belmont University, however she found that she deeply missed being behind the lens of her Nikon. In May 2012, she made a life changing decision to leave Nashville and move to the ski resort village of Ruidoso, New Mexico, where she had spent a great amount of time in her youth. She since has been actively practicing photography. Within just four months time, Shelby began to get published in a number of newspapers and magazines, and since, has been shooting the ads for a number of stores in the area seen in fashion and lifestyle magazines and published by Vogue Italia eleven seperate times to date for her Northern Europe Landscape photography. For being only nineteen years old and having accomplished so much in a matter of seven months, there's no telling what the future has in store for Shelby.

Being behind the lens in where I feel at home. It's no different than being behind a canvas with a paintbrush in hand, or playing an instrument. I don't do it for the fame, or fortune, I do it because it's what I love to do, and if I can please some other people along the way, awesome. I'm a very visual person so if you come to me with a concept, or a look, I will find a way to recreate it.
